In November 1995, Carey Gauthier embarked on a remarkable journey with LCL Excavation.
It all began when Carey Gauthier applied for a position as a bookkeeper and salesperson, seeking new opportunities as her previous company prepared to close its doors. Encouraged by her sister, Renée-Lise Lavigne (another long-time LCL Excavation employee) Carey decided to pursue the job.
Founder Luc Levesque recalls the interview process vividly, particularly one standout question: how many sixteenths are in one inch? While many applicants faltered, Carey confidently answered 16, showcasing her sharp mind and problem-solving abilities.
Starting her role as a salesperson and bookkeeper at Rénovesque Rénovations, Carey found herself navigating new territory in the hardware store, despite having no prior construction experience. Determined to succeed, she tackled challenges head-on, even mastering the intricacies of measuring and estimating materials for complex projects like custom windows and doors.
In addition to her bookkeeping duties, Carey's versatility shone as she supported both Rénovesque and LCL Excavation, seamlessly adapting to the evolving needs of the company. From assisting with HR and safety programs to providing invaluable organizational support, Carey became an indispensable asset to the team.
Today, Carey leads the accounting department at LCL Excavation, bringing over 28 years of dedication and expertise to her role. Her unwavering commitment to excellence and her instrumental role in fostering a culture of teamwork make her an invaluable member of our organization.
As we celebrate over 28 years of Carey's contributions to LCL Excavation, we express our heartfelt gratitude for her dedication and unwavering commitment to excellence. Here's to many more years of success and achievement together.
