Ghislain Drapeau journey began as a young laborer at Rénovesque Rénovations, where he worked diligently after school and during summers. From painting to roofing, Ghislain immersed himself in various construction tasks, including forming and pouring concrete foundations. His first project was the Caisse Populaire building in Charlo.

In 1994, with the establishment of LCL Excavations, Ghislain's role expanded as he split his time between Rénovesque and LCL. Alongside founder Charles, he played a pivotal role in the company's early days, transitioning from a labourer to operating equipment such as backhoes and gravel trucks.

As LCL Excavations continued to grow, Ghislain's responsibilities evolved, encompassing roles as a truck driver, lead hand labourer, pipelayer, and heavy equipment operator. In 2007 or 2008, he assumed the position of foreman, demonstrating exemplary leadership and guiding highly productive crews with his wisdom and experience. His commitment to nurturing talent and fostering a culture of excellence has helped LCL Excavation build cohesive and high-performing teams in the municipal infrastructure construction industry.

In 2021, Ghislain's desire to contribute even more to LCL's mission of Building Great Teams became apparent.

Recognizing his potential, company leaders embarked on a journey to elevate Ghislain's role within the organization. In 2023, their efforts culminated in the creation of a new position: Production Coach. In this capacity, Ghislain mentors and supports foremen to optimize job site operations and enhance their coaching skills, furthering LCL Excavation's commitment to excellence.
